I've said it before, and I will continue to say it.
Life is all about the choices you make, and don't make. The more you don't make the more you will regret your life, and have a negative mindset.
The choices you make start when you wake up in the morning.
First, did you hit your snooze button? (I did this morning🤦♂️)
Second, did you wake up a zombie or are you waking up refreshed?
Thirdly, do you have a morning routine?
I am not talking about waking up, going to the bathroom, and sit on the toilet scrolling your phone. I am talking about something that will put you in a positive frame of mind, and get you started off on the right foot today. Ready to take on the world.
If you do not have a morning routine. I am stressing that you get one. I promise you it will only benefit your life.
It doesn't have to be jumping in an ice bath or an icy shower to wake up and "shock your body."
It can be as simple as meditating. Showing gratitude to yourself and what you have. It can be saying positive affirmations into the mirror at yourself. It can be praying over your coffee so that it helps you combat today.
What ever it is. Make it positive. Make it yours. Make it fun and happy, and something you will enjoy doing; even when you feel like crap in the morning. You know that your routine is something that will center and ground you. You know that no matter what is going on in your life, and what is going on in the world. Your routine is constant and will never waiver. It is something that you can count on each and every time.
Waking up and Getting up might look like just a change of words, but the meaning's behind that are so different.
Waking up is so passive, so choice-differing. Whereas getting up sounds more deliberate. It sounds like a choice, something that you meant to do and want to do. And what have I said about choices?
Where one sounds like someone is making the choice for you, the other sounds like you are making the choice. You are in control, and you dictate what will happen.
Take control of your life. Don't just wake up, Get Up and run the day!
