Who are you becoming?

No really.... Who are you becoming?

Do you know?

Have you ever asked yourself that question, or looked into where you are headed in life?

Through many years I have noticed that there is a vast majority that have no clue where they are headed. They don't reflect on where they have been. They don't plan for the future. They don't sit down and see where they currently are right now.

They merely float through life. Hoping that the "fly by the seat of their pants" decisions are good enough to keep them where they are in life. Possibly make their lives a bit better, but definitely not worse.

There's no calculated adjustments in their choices or decision making protocol. There is just. I am doing this now, it will result in this effect, and I will handle that when/if it happens.

Did you know that you can actually steer your life into any direction that you want it to go into? That's right. You can be a millionaire if you wanted, or you can be flat broke if you so choose. You could have the most amazing family ever, or you could be single and partying it up every night. You could travel the world at a moments notice, or you could stay home and do whatever you life.

There are literally endless options of where you can steer your life.

Still the majority of us choose... I said choose. Because we should all know at this point in time that every second of our lives is a choice. There is ALWAYS a choice.

We choose to take our hands off of the steering wheel and let the car drive itself.

Almost like that scene in "Fight Club", where Brad Pitts character tells the main character to take his hands off the wheel and see what happens.

They end up crashing into water barrels at the side of the road. But that is like a flawless example of what is happening in your life.

You take your hands off the wheel and you go anywhere. It's not until you put your hands back on the wheel. Start steering. Do you see that not only will your chances of crashing your life lessen. But you are also able to stay on the road long enough to see where you are going, and make adjustments to get to your destination.

Who you are becoming is a direct reflection of the choices you make (even when you don't make a choice. That's still a choice).

So who are you becoming? Seriously. Even while you have been reading this. Have you asked yourself that question?

Is who you are becoming the person you actually want to become?

If you answer is no. I suggest you take a couple mins. Sit in solitude, and just think about that question. Think about who you are becoming, who you want to become. How are they different, and what do you need to do to get from where you are to where you want to go.

It's not hard. But it is worth it.

I suggest ever week you do this. Almost like a self-analysis. Just sit there in solitude and reflect on what happened the week prior. Were the decisions you made a reflection of who you want to become or not? What could you have done differently? What will you do differently?

You don't have to be stuck on the path you are on. Unless you choose so.

The choice is yours.
